On February 12th, I made an appointment by email for February 16th after 12:00 noon. I was told I would receive a free loaner car during this appointment. When my wife and I arrived at the service desk, an employee told me I would be getting a Volkswagen Caddy as a loaner. I explained that my own car is a family car for five people. The employee replied that I was getting a free car anyway. When I went to inspect the car, I saw that it was a two-person service vehicle used for transporting spare parts. That wasn't suitable for me. Therefore, I canceled the appointment, saying that this didn't seem serious to me. In the Netherlands, appointments are usually well-planned and prepared for in advance. Therefore, I found this situation disappointing.

I emailed several times, but to no avail; no response. Not the service I'm used to from a car garage, where customer focus is usually one of the most important core values. It's a shame, but that's why I'm looking outside of Hoogeveen and getting excellent service at Pouw Meppel. So, I'll just drive a bit further :) Incidentally, when I bought my car two years ago, I also drove past the shop, looking for a new dealer after switching from Peugeot to Volkswagen. The receptionist didn't respond to my first attempt at contact, but rather reproachfully. That was my first attempt at contact. Attempt two confirms why I'm moving outside of Hoogeveen. This is the last time I'll even try here. I can't imagine this is representative of the entire Century Group, but rather an exception.

This morning I called Mobility Assistance for a defective battery in my Caddy 1.9 TDI from 2009, they did NOT have a battery for my Caddy in stock, it used to be a garage under a different name, nowadays nothing more than a service desk, so I went to my old garage to have a new battery fitted, so they have one less customer.

Great experience at Autocentury Hoogeveen. They attended us well and were very helpful. We highly recommend it. We are very happy with the car we bought.
