Today I asked for advice for my Volvo V50 for the 2nd time within a year. Even though my car is being maintained elsewhere! Again very friendly help. Asked to think along and advise. It was the end of the afternoon, but time was taken in combination with a brief consultation with a colleague from the workshop. This allowed me to get into my car with more peace of mind with advice. Worth a big compliment!! Thank you Anita

We moved to Heerenveen and ended up at this dealership. It turned out to be a series of frustrations unworthy of a brand dealer. It started with a leaking turbo hose. We discovered it early on and had it replaced immediately. A week later, when we went skiing, we blew out the same hose at 3 a.m., 150 km from home. We drove back home in emergency mode, and at 8 a.m. sharp, we were at the counter. They acknowledged the problem and replaced the hose again, but otherwise, they just shrugged their shoulders. "Bad luck, it happens," was the comment, and that was all we had to accept. Finally, at 2 p.m., exhausted from missing a night's sleep, we were able to start our second trip. A month later, the car displayed some fault messages for the cooling water system. A diagnostic scan revealed two recurring faults: a temperature sensor and the thermostat. Despite the expense, I decided to schedule an appointment to have both replaced because we didn't want to be stuck halfway to Austria again with hassles. On the day the repair was scheduled, I received the same shrug at the counter, telling me that the thermostat was on backorder and that only the temperature sensor could be replaced. I'd expect a premium dealer to call me to explain the problem so they could decide whether to wait for the part or actually have the repair done in two phases... Nothing! When I returned the car, I told them we needed it as soon as possible and would appreciate a call as soon as it was ready. I drove by the dealership at 11:00 AM and saw the car waiting. Finally, the call came that it would be ready at 1:30 PM. It turned out the temperature sensor wasn't the problem, and once again, we drove back from Austria with malfunction warning lights on the dashboard! The following week, I requested a quote by email for replacing the thermostat, timing belt, and automatic transmission flush, but received no response. All in all, my experience with this dealership was far below par and not at all what I was used to! I've seen many garages be more professional and customer-focused than this premium dealership. I don't pay dealer prices for universal service!
