I want to share my experience with Opel Motor Company in Katwijk. Upon arrival, I was told that replacing the battery would cost €300, and the engine/starting problem would also cost €300. The total cost would therefore be around €600. I clearly stated that I only wanted the starter/engine problem repaired, not the battery. After a few hours, I received a call and suddenly the price had changed to €1000. I found this unfair, and I also felt disrespected by the way this was communicated. Therefore, I requested that the repairs be stopped and my car be picked up. To my surprise, I had to pay €250 to take my car away, even though nothing had been repaired. I found this very unreasonable. After that, I took my car to André Garage, where everything was repaired for €350. Based on my experience, I unfortunately cannot recommend Opel Motor Company Katwijk.

It's been two years, but it's still bothering me. So, I'm finally getting it out of the way once and for all. I'm taking my recently purchased, second-hand Opel Vivaro to the garage. The garage is easy to reach, but they have so many different operators that I often get a different person on the line. They can't figure out the problem. It ends up being €1,800 (!), but they still had one minor issue to address. When I picked up the car, it was €2,400 (!). I started the car, and the problem still hadn't been resolved. €2,400 less for a problem that hadn't been fixed. I then called Opel Nederland, and they fixed my car for free. I suspect it was simply the computer that was the problem, not the engine parts, which were all examined and replaced. The problem recurred recently. I've been to two different garages since then, and the difference in communication and costs (!) is enormous. The problem was recently fixed for much less, and they explained exactly what had been done. It was my first car, and if I'd had a good experience, I might have stayed with that garage for the rest of my life. But quite the opposite. Stupid.

Today I had the airbag replaced on my Citroen DS3. This was a recall. The service was excellent and friendly; everything was resolved within an hour, and I was safely back on the road. Thanks!!

A complete lack of service. They're not even willing to take a look at the car that won't start. Never experienced this before with Kia or Volkswagen.
