"After buying a car in January 2023 as a family car, my girlfriend and I quickly noticed something was wrong with steering fully to the left or right. We felt and heard a kind of thumping and slipping noise from the tires, suspension, and front of the car. I made an appointment at the Haarlem branch to have this checked. After checking, we were told that the wrong tire had been installed, but that this wouldn't cause any problems. A specialist would be happy to check this. We continued driving, knowing that this wasn't entirely correct, but that we were told it wouldn't cause any problems. In January 2025, we received a message in the car that the tire pressure wasn't correct. Because it was so cold that week, I initially thought that might be related. This is also because I regularly check and top up the tire pressure; I keep a close eye on it myself. On January 22, 2025, the tire was completely flat. I just managed to drive to a gas station to inflate the tire and then made it home, only for the tire to be completely flat again. That evening, the roadside assistance was called for assistance and I was told the following: "There aren't any screws or nails visible. However, the tire is completely worn out/worn out. The tread on the left and right sides of the tire itself is very different. For example, the right side of the right tire is much more worn (no tread) compared to the left side. The roadside assistance warned me that this is extremely dangerous and that the car isn't properly aligned; this is visible on the tire. I told the roadside assistance that I bought this car two years ago and that I had already reported the problem (knocking/skidding) to the garage (motorhuis) soon after buying the car. The roadside assistance told me, "I'd better find another garage." So, I've been driving an unsafe car for a while now, and we already knew there was a problem. I reported this to Motorhuis, but nothing was done about it. And now the roadside assistance tells me that the car isn't properly aligned, which isn't true." This not only resulted in faster tire wear, but also an unsafe situation for my family. I find this very unprofessional, especially since I reported this to Motorhuis early on, and nothing was done about it. After this, the car was serviced in February 2025, and I brought this up again. The Motorhuis branch in Haarlem then told me the following: "Oh yeah, the tires you currently have wear out faster on the inside than the outside." I thought this was strange at the time, but oh well... what can I say to someone who doesn't know anything about cars? I switched garages. I told my current garage the above story, and they confirmed that it wasn't nonsense. I would not recommend anyone, despite the friendly staff, to take their car there for maintenance or repairs."
