"I am going to write this in English to reach a broader audience. This garage quoted me 1600€ for a revision (APK, pink slip, call it what you want). My exhaust system leaked and needed to be replaced in full. These are hard covid times and I (don't) work in hospitality at the moment and this expense would have spelled my business death (i use the car for work). It is a 2004 diesel car, I cannot possibly afford anything else at the moment. I decided to go for a second opinion and APK procedure...which i found, for 200€ and a repair instead of a full replacement. 200€ vs. 1600€. Do the math. This already spells either incompetence or ill-will for OK Garage. Insult to injury a certain Ramon, worker at OK Garage, called me today and jovially pointed out how my car did not pass the revision but I could sell it to him for parts. Shocking. Now one has to wonder, considering i've seen what the repairs are and how they seem quite mundane for any mechanic, if this is a little scheme OK Garage has going to buy people's cars on the cheap when their back is against the wall. But that's just a guess. 2 stars because at least they are friendly. I am sure they are good at what they do. I just didn't see it. EDIT & REPLY to garage. It seems like they did a damage control run on their reviews because i got a call and many other customers it seems. To the garage: it's true that a whole exhaust systems costs 1600 or whatever. It's also true that just my filter was broken, not the whole system. Here's what it has been done by another mechanic to fix it in the end: take good filter, saw it to size, cut out bad part of old filter, insert good part of new filter, weld. 200€. APK passed. At this point you're either in bad faith or not competent enough for small repairs? Let it lie, sir. (name of worker has been changed)"
