"Bought a car from fr-cars Hoorn and it was already not good when picking it up the next day, went back straight away, was poorly helped and cursed at and it is just a bad business, sells junk that is not good and actually should be at the scrapyard, definitely not recommended"

"I'd love to give 0 stars. I bought a car on July 25th and thought it was a great car that drives well... for short distances, anyway. Appearances can be deceiving on August 27th, I was stranded on the highway with an overheated engine. ANWB called, and they immediately noticed the cooling fan was broken and there was no way to fix it quickly. I contacted FR-Cars, and they said they were on vacation and would be back the following week. Necessity knows no law (we'll see how it's resolved later), so I figured I'd transport it to another garage because I couldn't drive it anymore. As soon as the car arrived at the other garage, they immediately noticed several defects. I thought it would be alright. As soon as the helpful FR-Cars guy returned from vacation, he came by and explained the whole situation. He said he'd consult with his colleague and let me know. After two weeks, I called to see if anything had changed, but no, my colleague was still on vacation but would get back to me the following week. I haven't heard anything yet. In between, I went to another garage to replace an indicator light (a tiny little light on the side). The plastic was worn out, but it happens, I guess. I lost the car for a day; there are worse things, I suppose. The mechanic from the other garage contacted me and told me he'd noticed some serious issues for a car with an MOT when purchased (less than two months ago): a bad exhaust, a lot of wear and tear on the steering column, and brakes that needed replacing immediately. In other words, it's no longer economically viable to have it repaired... now I'm looking for another car and never going back to FR-Cars."

"What a great place. I bought a beautiful Opel Zafira there. It drives well. And the owner is really nice and helpful. I got a delicious cup of coffee, and my daughter also got a tasty snack. I definitely recommend FR Cars 👍🏼"

"⭐ Bad experience – don't buy a car here! On April 2nd, I bought a Hyundai Getz from FR-Cars Hoorn. The car was advertised as "in excellent condition" and well-maintained. During the test drive, everything seemed fine, but unfortunately, appearances were deceiving. A few days after purchasing it, I tried to use the air conditioning in warmer weather – no cold air. I took the car to my local garage, where a shocking diagnosis followed: The air conditioning condenser is defective and leaking There is no refrigerant left in the system A cable from the air conditioning is loose and has been hidden The air conditioning pump may also be defective Estimated repair cost: between €600 and €1000 According to the mechanic, it's obvious this car was never properly inspected before sale. These are defects that any reputable garage should have noticed. What makes matters worse: FR-Cars Hoorn's website clearly states that all their cars are thoroughly inspected before being offered for sale. In my case, that was absolutely not the case. I've contacted FR-Cars Hoorn several times: 5 emails, 10 phone calls, 8 weeks later, and still no solution. You're fobbed off by phone with empty promises, and emails are simply not responded to. In short: warranty all the way to the door. This company takes absolutely no responsibility after the sale. For anyone considering buying a car here: don't. You'll be in for a rude awakening—or in my case, a very hot car without working air conditioning."
