"The owner strikes me as unreliable. My own conclusion was a broken driveshaft; you could definitely hear it spinning and banging against the suspension. After a day, I received a call with the diagnosis that my automatic transmission was broken, which meant the car would be a total loss. I immediately hopped on my loaner bike and went to see the owner. He then started apologizing, claiming he didn't know much about Toyotas. We watched and listened together, and the owner had to admit that my driveshaft was indeed broken. Naturally, I had this €180 repair carried out by my trusted garage (see other review). I offered the husband of the two brothers €20 for the towing costs, but he preferred me to stay positive and spread the word. So, folks, be warned! Update: Response to the owner: This review is over two years old. I'm therefore surprised that it's only now receiving a response. To refresh your memory: in January 2020, my car was parked next to a dental office where the swimming pool used to be. You towed my car away. Just be honest with the customer, I'd say. Good luck!"
