"Bad experience; I don't recommend this garage. The man told us to bring the car in immediately, that he would inspect it because I needed it for work as soon as possible, and that he would fix it as soon as possible. That's why we didn't go to another mechanic. Two weeks later, we still hadn't heard anything about the car, and he wasn't answering the phone. Only when we went there ourselves did we realize he hadn't even looked at it; the car was parked untouched at the end of the street. A terrible lack of respect for the customer and a lack of professionalism. We took the car to another mechanic, and they fixed it within two days."

"Good garage. A satisfied customer for years. Honest service and no surprises on the bill. No unnecessary repairs to drive up the cost, as I have unfortunately experienced at reputable garages. Like brand-new Bosch windscreen wipers that had to be replaced because they were supposedly too worn for the MOT. (They hadn't even been on for a week, mind you.)"

"I always had my car serviced elsewhere, not entirely to my complete satisfaction, to be honest, but I thought that was normal in my relationship with garages. When my car failed its MOT (periodic vehicle safety inspection) due to rust, six months after an expensive (€3,000!) repair that had already cost twice as much as initially estimated, my old garage said it was beyond repair (far too expensive). Naturally, I was furious, but a colleague referred me to Braskamp. He'd been going there for years and was very satisfied. Braskamp carried out the welding very professionally, well within the agreed-upon budget (I didn't want to end up paying twice as much again). That was a few years ago, and I've been back every year since. The hourly rate is reasonable, the owner is more than willing to think along with you, and there's an atmosphere of mutual trust. Last time, I just took the invoice home, even though he didn't know me at all. Apparently, they also do search assignments; I think I'll use them for my next car. If you have confidence in the maintenance, you'll likely feel the same way when buying a car. Up until now, my car has always been ready on time, within the agreed-upon timeframe. And of course, my car wasn't ready in one day when so much welding needed to be done; that was done in the evenings/weekends, but the price was right."
