"Last year, I bought an X5, which was said to be mechanically sound and had come from a regular customer. However, after an inspection at a BOVAG garage, it turned out the four-wheel drive wasn't working due to a missing axle, the tires were faulty, and the car wouldn't pass its periodic roadworthiness inspection (APK). There was also a significant oil leak (including one near the oil pan). Several issues have since been repaired. The vehicle's MOT had been performed a month before the purchase by the seller's father. When I went back to the seller to discuss the problems, I was told it was "my" fault because I "should have known more about cars" and "should have just had an inspection." All in all, it wasn't a pleasant experience."
