Autoborg Assen is a great company. I've been coming here for new tires and MOTs for my cars for a long time. The staff is friendly, appointments are kept, and the service is excellent. The lady at the counter, in particular, is always friendly and helpful.

They poked a hole through the chassis of my car. A big hole. When I brought it up, they tried to insinuate the car was already like that. Luckily I had pictures to prove them wrong.Then they owned up to it, but made the excuse it was an APK inspection point. Yes you have to lightly tap it, not hammer it in and leave a hole in the body of my car, brother. Good thing I had pictures otherwise you would have taken no responsibility. You really argued with me too. I take pictures of all my vehicles, luckily. To be clear. My problem is not just that I wasn't told this, it was the fact that I brought this up, and it was insinuated that I was lying about dropping a vehicle with no damage, for 15 min we argued over this until I showed pictures. Completely unnecessary and blaming me because the car has some rust in the undercarriage is only part of the reason you get one star, but not the only reason. Onwards, Both cars I brought here for APK needed new o2 sensors. But the problem is that the 02 sensor is normally a 20 euro part. They charge 120+ for it, + labor. The 120 euro Bosch lambda sensor they mention in their response is a part that goes to a BMW or a Rolls Royce (if you take longer than 10 seconds to look at the product page) It is NOT the same lambda sensor you would put in a peugeot 107 from 2006. For an apk I needed a new handbrake for a mercedes car. OK I was quoted 550. The charged me 1100 euros. After this I checked online and the part (from the dealer) is 170 euros. So you mean to tell me I spent over 800 euros on labour? Never again. Come on. EDIT: In the response, it is said that the Mercedes was repaired for a higher cost 'in consultation' So that was an outright lie. I was only told the cost of it after I arrived to pick up the vehicle. As a matter of fact, even if it wasn't a repair job but rather a full replacement, the parking brake is 170 euros. I know it because you guys ordered it from Mercedes, and they showed me the receipt for it, you guys used my license plate to order it from them, so it stayed on their system. Do you mean to tell me it took you guys, what, 10-15 hours to replace this? How does a replacement job (which was agreed from the start that was what needed to happen) go from 550 euros to 1100? You have absolutely no shame, and that's ok. That's just your values I guess. Finally, a quick google search for 'Lambda sensor peugeot 107' easily takes care of what the real cost of a lambda sensor is.The most expensive one I see, in line with what you would replace one belonging to a Peugeot 107 from 2006 is 60 euros. You can and will find one for a third of the price. You guys charged double that and couple hundred more for labour. It's not just the shady behaviour, it's the lying that's also disgusting. You guys didn't just lose one customer, you lost two, and you get a 1 star review for being crooks. You really earned this, good job.
