Pricey, but without the quality I expected. Before returning my car, I took the time to thoroughly explain any potential issues. I asked for a thorough inspection first because I hadn't owned it very long and wanted to make a well-informed decision about what to address and what not to address. When I picked up the car, I was told my car was in perfect condition and that the air conditioning had been repaired. Since I'd provided a long list of areas for improvement, I found the feedback somewhat scanty, but perhaps the car was in better condition than I thought. When I inquired about it, I didn't receive much specific information. After picking it up, I noticed that my interior light was still broken, even though I'd requested it be repaired. I'd also mentioned that my handbrake wasn't working properly. According to Van Kooten, there was nothing wrong with it. It's strange that I don't notice much difference when I fully pull up the handbrake while driving and my car starts to roll on a hill. After a week, I discovered my fog lights were on and I couldn't turn them off with the switch. I decided to call to inquire how thoroughly my car had been checked. That missing interior light didn't exactly inspire confidence. I took the car in again, asking them to check the interior light, inspect the brakes again, and check my fog lights. I was treated kindly, so I decided to give it another try. When I picked up my car two days later, the lights were partially working. According to Van Kooten, the problem was with the tow bar wiring. They disconnected it, which restored the rest of the lights to normal, but unfortunately, I couldn't use my tow bar anymore. They hadn't gotten around to the handbrake, and when I asked about the interior light, they said it was working when they tested it. This sounded a bit dubious. It was also strange that it wouldn't work when I got into the car. I had to make another appointment to have that repaired. That felt like flogging a dead horse to me. I clearly stated at least four times what I wanted repaired. They disconnected the tow bar lights free of charge. The price for repairing the air conditioning and the service was higher than at the dealership, so I appreciated the compensation. To get my car fully functional again, I went to the garage that installed the tow bar lights. They also inspected my handbrake. It was indeed not working properly. It was completely stuck. They saved the brake discs so I could see how blue they had become from rubbing. In short, I was able to replace almost the entire rear brake system. Van Kooten should have seen that. Especially since I specifically requested a thorough inspection during the major service before starting the repairs, and I also mentioned that my right rear brake was sticking when driving away. Before the service, I'd even changed most of the fluids and filters, so the added value of the garage for me was mainly the thorough inspection of the car by knowledgeable people. In my opinion, this wasn't done sufficiently, even though it was promised beforehand.

Poor service and a long list of repairs to get my car approved for MOT (€1500). I refused and picked up my car. At another garage, I only had to replace one thing for €50 to get an MOT. I wouldn't recommend this garage. I think it's a shame they treat people this way. Taking advantage of people this way. Disgraceful.

It's a great garage where you get friendly service. They did the MOT and replaced a few things. My car is good to go for another year. Because I live a bit further away, I always stay there until the car is checked (a loaner car is available, but I use it for major repairs). Because I had to go to an unexpected appointment, they did everything possible to get the "job" done as quickly as possible. Thanks, guys!
