"Around December 20th, we had a viewing for a light blue 2017 Opel Astra (license plate NS-966-V), offered with a Bovag warranty. During the test drive, it was clearly audible that the brake discs were worn. We agreed, both verbally and through the Bovag website and the company's own website, that a Bovag 40-point inspection would be performed and that the car would be ready to drive by mid-January, including the replacement of the brake discs. To our surprise, we saw through the license plate check that the car had already received a new MOT (periodic vehicle safety inspection). On Friday, January 2nd—two weeks earlier than agreed—we received a call to say the car was ready for pickup. However, upon arrival, the brake discs had not been replaced. During this second test drive, we also noticed a rattling noise in the clutch. We decided not to take the test drive due to the worn brake discs. Evert also indicated that we "wouldn't be able to figure it out anyway." It's incomprehensible that you'd let us drive so far with a baby in the car when we weren't going to get out anyway, and you secretly decided not to replace the brakes. What makes this even more concerning is that the car is now back for sale on Marktplaats and the Bovag website, even though the brake discs are still in poor condition. We don't understand how the car could have passed an MOT with these defects. In our opinion, it's irresponsible to offer a car with such poor brakes to other buyers again. This has resulted in us driving twice for nothing and agreements not being honored. Despite the positive reviews and advertising through Bovag, we have decided not to do business with this company. Our trust has completely vanished."
